Noah's Sub Happy Dance!

It only took 4 years and 11 months but it is finally finished! Actually I finished last night but my poor eyes were so tired I didn't make it to the computer til this morning.

Noah's Sub 2/22/09

Now I have something to hang in my soon-to-be son's room as soon as we're ready to decorate. This is Noah's Sub by Stoney Creek and I stitched it over 2 on 32 count antique white lugana. I started it before I got married and it has been everywhere from my house to Indianapolis to North Carolina. It has been worked on during fun stuff like vacation and during tense times like my MIL's cancer surgery a few years ago (she's just fine now, btw).

I have to say that I'm a bit relieved to be finished as it was getting to be quite an obligation piece at the end, I think mostly because I wanted so badly to have it done for Ben when he comes home and it will be ready and framed for him now. I can honestly say I don't feel like stitching this morning but I am in a go-thru-the-stash-and-see-what-I-can-find kind of mood. I kind of feel like putting things together and prepping some kits for future starts so that is probably what I'll do in a bit. Probably doesn't help that we spent a few hours at the bookstore yesterday and I picked up a few new stitching magazines with some tempting Spring designs. I need to get some smaller projects ready to go anyway because of course I'm taking some stitching to Russia when we go.

No new adoption news yet- we got the update from the agency on Friday and it looks like 2 other families that received referrals at the same time we did have accepted and the agency is expecting us all to travel in the second half of March so that falls in line with the estimate when we received the referral. I'm hoping we'll get some travel dates this week but it is also quite possible that they won't tell us for a week or two more. At least we have a fair idea of when it is coming and we are starting to gather things to pack in one room.

Happy Monday!
