Stitching Update 1/16/07

Okay, it's time for pics today. Please excuse all the wrinkly fabric, I'm not ironing anything til it's done. First up, we have my HAED SAL Challenge piece...

QS Pegasus and Castle Bubble 1/16/07

This is my pathetic start on Josephine Wall's QS Pegasus and Castle Bubble which I'm stitching on 25ct Lugana 1 over 1. Unfortunately our first SAL weekend fell on a work weekend for me and we had family gatherings both Saturday and Sunday night for birthday celebration so there wasn't a whole lot of time for stitching.
On the up side, I did get to work with a couple of the darker colors this time and am now a bit more comfortable working 1 over 1 on the 25ct fabric. I was a bit afraid of the coverage 1 strand was going to give me but the coverage is great so far.

As requested, I also have some Titania pics. First the floss toss pics...

They didn't turn out quite as well as I'd hoped but that's probably because of my methods. I don't have a digicam so I had to put the floss and fabric right on the scanner bed. The color of the fabric is lighter than it shows in the scan although the corners of the bottom scan are pretty close to the fabric color in real life.

The WIP pic of Titania turned out much better.

The fabric color came out really well in this scan, it's very close to real life. I haven't stitched much yet but tried to do a little of the pink dress and the wing to get an idea of what the colors would look like on the fabric and I must say that I like the results so far.

Unfortunately both of these pieces will go back in their mesh bags for a bit now. One of my stitching goals for January was to finish EGW and I haven't touched it all month so I'd better get going.

I think Titania looks great on that fabric! Can't wait to see more.

Both look great. Good luck with both projects - definitely more than I could handle!
