I know I've got one more Russia post left but I'll save that for next time because today's a special day. It's our 5th wedding anniversary today so I'm feeling a little sentimental and thought I'd share a few pics from our wedding day...

The first two were taken at the grotto next to the church we got married in (it had rained that morning and it was so pretty and green out there) and the last one of course was in the church and that was of our entire wedding party. We had a big church wedding with a full dinner and dancing type reception afterward. If I recall correctly, there were about 250 people there.

Looking back, it was a good day that really went quite smoothly for the most part. The biggest mishap I remember is that the power went out at my parents' house early in the moring, forcing some of the girls and I to kick Erich out of our apartment for awhile so we could all shower. I remember it being a whirlwind day and looking at the reception hall at the end of the night thinking- is it really over already? Not that I would want to do it all again because it too had a lot of stressful moments in the planning but it was nice to have one day like that.

We're not really doing anything too exciting today to celebrate. We spent the morning tour day care centers in our area for when Ben comes home and I think we found the one so that's another baby thing accomplished. Currently I'm waiting impatiently for the mailman to arrive. One of these days soon he's going to be bringing the last dossier document to us and we'll be ready to send off dossier #2 which will basically get us a court date for the finalization of the adoption. So then this afternoon we'll either be heading to Fed Ex or not and doing a little shopping, maybe a movie, definitely dinner out. Oh, and sometime today or tomorrow I've got to do a few things to get ready for company. A friend of mine (actually the maid of honor in the above pics) is coming up to visit for the baby shower my family is having for us which is on Sunday. It should be fun and big, so far I've only heard of one regret that has RSVP'ed. And that is how I'll be spending the rest of my weekend off.

Happy Friday everyone!
