Whole lotta shaking going on...

...at least there was earlier this morning. I wanted to get up early this morning but definitely wasn't expecting an earthquake to shake me out of bed. Erich and I felt the whole bedroom shake around 5:30 this morning. It started out with the bed moving and I thought it was just Erich moving around on his side for a second until the dresser and mirror started to rattle too. It was a strange experience, I've never felt an earthquake before. I remember once in grade school there was an earthquake near us but we didn't feel it. There was also a minor earthquake when I visited some relatives in California once but I missed that one too so I guess third time's the charm though I hope we don't have too many more around here.

Today is supposed to be gorgeous so I really should get going. It's my weekend off so a little running to do, a bit of housecleaning and then hopefully some free time to enjoy the Spring weather. Have a great weekend everyone!

I had never experienced one of these, either...but sure did wake up this morning for it!

I didn't know what was going on at the time, and was sure surprised to see the news and have an explanation for the strange events that had taken place!!

We've had some real rattlers here in the past few years; I hate earthquakes. I hope yours was a nice, polite little one with no aftershocks. :)

My cat woke me up about 5:30 and shortly after that I felt a little shaking. I had been in one about 20 years ago. Both times we were so far north of the epic center we just got shook a little. Fortunately no damage.
