Stoms and SBQ's

Thanks for all the kind words about my puppy and flower pics from last time:)

Wow, the weather's been pretty crazy up in the northern Indiana/southern Michigan area this evening. We've had some major thunderstorms and even a few tornados from the news websites I'm able to access. It was kind of scary for a little while there when the tornado warnings moved across the state county by county and included our county for awhile but nothing touched down in our immediate area. Thankfully my family and my home came through all right with not much more than a few limbs down and a lot of rain. Hope everyone else out there is okay too.

I've got a couple more SBQ's to catch up on tonight and hopefully that'll bring me close to being on the current question again:)

3/8/07: Do you use your needle, a seam ripper, or something else when you have to frog stitches? Why do you use the method that you do?

It really depends on the count of the fabric that I'm using. If it's big stitches and I've got a lot to frog, I like to use my stork scissors and snip the stitches from the front and then pick out the little threads. If it's just a few stitches I'll pull them out individually with the end of a needle.

On designs like HAED with over 1 stitching, I'm afraid to snip the stitches so I will pull them out individually if possible or just go over them with the correct color if it's just a stitch or two or won't show through.

2/28/07 Do you find yourself stitching faster when you are getting to the end of a design?

Actually, no. I tend to slow down at the end and it's not because of all the backstitch- I do that as I go. I'm not sure what it is, maybe I'm just anxious to start the next piece!
