Noah's Sub Update

Thanks for all the great comments on our pumpkins! They're a lot of fun to carve. For the past few years my parents and husband and I have gotten together for a little carving party but there wasn't time this year so just my husband and I carved. It takes some time and patience to learn the technique but you can carve some pretty cool things into your pumpkins when you get the hang of it.

I actually had last weekend off (woo hoo!) and took some time to stitch, play Final Fantasy X, and work on The Funny Farm. For those who haven't seen and been sucked in yet, The Funny Farm is an online word association puzzle that has become quite popular lately and is quite addictive. I'm convinced it's sole purpose is to send me to the funny farm and it may just do that before I'm done. There, now you can't say I didn't warn you.

It took a little longer than I wanted but I finally got my fourth page of Noah's Sub finished. I know there is half a fox and a little backstitch mising but I'm trying to finish things like that all in one go so I'll stitch the fox when I get the page with his other half and I'll backstitch the tiger when I get the sky around his tail done.

For now I've moved on to another project so I don't get too burnt out on the sub. I picked up Teresa Wentzler's English Garden Welcome this weekend and started working on the border again. My goal before I put it down is to finish the border and the backstitch on the letters that spell out "welcome." I have another weekend off coming up so it shouldn't take too long.

You're making great progress on it! I know how frustrating it was having those 'half' animals! I finally finished NS last December, after about 3 years of work. It is so satisfying when it's done!
