Happy Belated 4th!

I'm a day late but it is still the holiday weekend so I get points for that, right? Anyway, hope everyone that celebrated yesterday had a safe and fun day. We had a pretty good day. For once, both the DH and I had the day off so treated ourselves to breakfast out and spent the better part of the day being lazy and watching some recently acquired DVDs (the newer seasons of Dr. Who which are very, very good in my humble opinion) . I got some good stitching time in on Santa's Magic. Then we spent the evening at my grandparents' house celebrating Grandpa's 76th birthday- dinner, cake, fireworks, all the fun stuff.

Today was unfortunately back to work for me but at least I had the holiday off. We're planning to continue the Dr. Who marathon tonight for as long as we can stay up which is about 11 for me. I don't know if I'm getting old or what but it seems like lately I seem to be programmed to start nodding off around 11 which was really annoying last night when we were trying to finish up one more episode before bed.

Just wanted to say thanks for the good thoughts on the adoption. I'm trying not to think about it too much right now because we're kind of stuck until we hear back from Erich's MD so we can send off paperwork to our agency. I am not a very patient person when it comes to waiting for this kind of news so distraction will be key over the next couple of weeks. I'm hoping to get lots of cleaning and stitching done:)

I've been meaning to post this tag from Karin for a few days now. If you haven't been tagged yet and would like to be consider it done!

Where were you 10 years ago?
10 years ago would be the Summer of 1998 and I had just graduated from high school. I had just started my first job which my Mom helped me get. I was a teller for the bank she worked for (she worked in the mortgage dept so we were in the same building but not the same dept). I was very excited and nervous at the same time about my big move to Purdue in the fall to start the pharmacy program. No boyfriend yet, I was still about two years from starting to go out with Erich.

Five things on your to do list for today.

-Go to work
-Pick up a couple items at the store
-Get at least one load of laundry in
-Clean up dinner (Erich's cooking)
-Relax

Snack foods I like.

-Yogurt
-Granola
-Dark chocolate, esp if raspberry is involved
-Ice cream
-Cereal
-Peanut butter on my store's handmade cinnamon tortillas, even better with a sliced banana

If I were a billionaire.
There would definitely be some S.E.X. going on along with some money for the DH's tool obsession. I'm sure I'd give some money away to the family and buy both sets of parents nicer homes than they have now. We'd probably build a new house too and I think we'd look into adopting a sibling group instead of just one child.

Places I've lived.
Not a very long list here- I've always lived in Indiana. I grew up in South Bend, went to college in West Lafayette. Since we got married we have lived in Mishawaka, Goshen and finally Elkhart.

Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!
